Your legal exposure has increased. Has your organisation kept up?
Psychosocial hazards are aspects of work that have the potential to cause psychological or physical harm. This includes workload, bullying and harassment, poor role clarity, organisational change, exposure to trauma and more. Psychosocial risk management is a governance and board issue, not an HR nicety.
Since 1 July 2026, the Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice has been an enforceable benchmark for NSW duty holders, and every state and territory now has similar and express obligations.
The Code provides a benchmark for compliance. Either follow the baseline, choose an alternative that meets or exceeds it, or demonstrate the effectiveness of your approach.
Regulators don’t need to wait for someone to be harmed. Inspectors can spot and act on failures in your safety systems long before an accident happens. Training can help, but it doesn’t fix poor work design. Know the difference before a regulator points it out for you.
This pulse check shows you, in 5 minutes, where you are strong, where you are exposed, and what to do next.
- Targeted questions across key compliance areas including hazard identification, consultation, and more.
- A scored read. Where you are strong, where you are exposed, and what to do next.
- Developed by specialist WHS lawyers who work across legal, safety and HR.

Compliance doesn't start and end with a policy and some training
Are you concerned that…
- You created a policy from a template that nobody opened since.
- Hazard registers are outdated or not even put in place.
- A restructure happened without any proactive psychosocial risk management.
- Your organisation's safety function is not properly resourced.
- Board members and executives haven't been trained on their obligations and due diligence.
These are all issues the regulator will look at and can create exposure in your business.
Psychosocial risk is only one part of work health and safety.
Source supports clients across the entire workplace safety lifecycle, from policy reviews and compliance advice to pre-litigation disputes. That breadth of expertise means if a matter escalates, it doesn’t need to be rebriefed to another firm, saving time, cost and unnecessary disruption.

Why businesses choose Source to handle their workplace health and safety
Safety doesn't exist in isolation. Neither should your advice.
A safety issue in one part of the business can be shaped by decisions made somewhere else.
The way work is designed. How people are managed. A restructure. Contractor arrangements. Source provides holistic workplace legal, safety and HR support so you receive advice that takes all of your circumstances into consideration.
Practical expertise. Commercial perspective.
Confidence for your executives and Board that the business is managing safety as part of the bigger picture, not issue by issue.
We look beyond the individual issue.
Source brings together safety, legal and HR expertise to see the broader enterprise picture, connect the issues and provide advice that is consistent across decisions, teams and strategy.
